3 days of no blogging... my bad!

Well, the past two days have been kind of a blur until last night. Valentine's Day was a success=) Chris got me a mini lop<3 my favorite kind of bunny! he's so precious and perfect, now i just have to come up with the perfect name! Anyways, I'm not gonna waste time trying to remember what I've eaten since the 12th, it hasn't been that much. I DID cheat, twice, not really bad though. I had a turtle drink from Fusion Brew and then last night ONE chocolate. I honestly don't care though because having bad sugar like that twice hasn't made me NOT want to continue on with my food plan. This blog, as of right now, is gonna be really hard to follow because it's just a random assortment of tid bits. For instance, I'm sooooo happy that my cuzzy is following my blog now=D I LOVE YOU ELIZABETH! (We're going to have to get together sometime so you can show me how to make my blog as AMAZING as yours). Uhm... I left work early on the 13th because I felt like death and I won't find out when I work again until later on this evening when Tara texts me. I don't mind really, I needed a little break after picking up so many friggin hours. I'm gonna eventually put pictures on here when I figure out how to do it lol. AND, there will be a blog specifically dedicated to our new addition<3 I'll probably write more later... just a random update like I said.

with work, i'm never going to be on time with these things...

I just got out of Denny's about 20 minutes ago... I clocked in before 530p friday! Yes, I picked up the hours so I continue to do this to myself, but that's okay. Chris and I want and need a bigger place so we've gotta keep makin that money! On a downside, one of my best friends from work was fired today, I cried during my whole break=( UGH, well, I'm super tired, so this is gonna be short and sweet.

FOOD PLAN DAY 2 (2/11/10)

Breakfast: one orange, one banana, handful of almonds and hot acai and blueberry tea
Snack: no time... work
Lunch: no time... work still
Snack: snuck a few apple slices, drank some coffee
Dinner: 2 eggs, 2 slices of turkey bacon, a chicken sausage patty, grapes, apple slices and half a banana
Snack: too late, bedtime

So... I definitely need to figure out a way to incorporate a lot more food (i.e. protein and veggies) into my daily regimen while doing so around my work schedule... being a server on swing and late night/early morning shifts are tough. GR! However, I still haven't given into temptation. I have faith in myself for these next 29 days hah. Seriously though, BED TIME!!!!! Work at 5p again.

My One Month Food Plan: Day 1

To get some things out of the way first... I am an extremely homeopathic person. Therefore, my chiropractor/nutritionist (Dr. Craig) is my "doctor" for all intensive purposes unless I'm internally bleeding. Anyway, almost 2 years ago, he did a hair analysis on me. All he does is cut a tiny bit of hair from the back bottom part of your scalp and then sends it to a lab. The results that return reveal your mineral content and ratios, basically anything inside you that you can't see or discover with the human eye. Well at that time, my ratios were off, and the way they were off showed Dr. Craig that I was close to having diabetes. SO, for exactly ONE MONTH, I could eat nothing but vegetables and meat/fish/eggs. That's it. No dairy, sugar, bread or anything else you can think of. Well, after the month was over, I had already lost 20 lbs. (I began at 210 lbs.). Not once did I cheat or defer from my food plan, it was hard at first, but I was NOT going to have diabetes at 19. It turns out, that month literally switched my metabolism around. After the first 20 lbs. (which was mostly water retention), I was able to eat whatever I wanted again. To my surprise however, I was still losing weight! 4 months after I completed my month long journey, I had reached 140 lbs... that's a 70 LB. LOSS! I couldn't believe it and never in my life had I been so happy with how I felt and looked; my BMI was perfection as well, being that I'm nearly 5'11". Okay, so I enjoyed my new amazing body for almost a year, but then the weight started coming back. Part of the problem was that I had begun a new relationship (which I'm still in) and I became comfortable. I started eating like him and not really caring too much what I put into my mouth. So now here I sit, 2 years later... and I'm back to my one month food plan. I've gained about 30 lbs. back... NOT happy, and definitely not secure anymore. That's not a very positive way of living is it? No. Today I began my food regimen again, except this time, I have to include fruit because I developed hypoglycemia sometime between then and now. Sorry for the enormous story before the actual point, but one of my uses for my new blog is to help keep myself on track and see my successes. So here it is...

DAY 1 (02/10/11):

Breakfast: one orange, one banana, a handful of almonds and hot goji berry and raspberry tea.
Snack: I was working and didn't have time, except for coffee (which is fine as long as it's black).
Lunch: one grilled chicken breast, a cup of grapes and a few cucumbers.
Snack: some carrots and celery.
Dinner: oddly, not hungry.
Snack: still not hungry, but drank a huge mug of chamomile tea.

I definitely didn't eat NEARLY as much as I was supposed to, but I'm getting back into the swing of things, writing everything out that I eat or don't eat is going to help me so much! BRING ON DAY 2=) And ps. I would be posting daily pictures up to see my progress, but I opted out lol.

A Fresh Start!

SO... it seems that I have officially become a "blogger". I can definitely say that I'm EXTREMELY excited, yet utterly lost hah! I promise I'll learn tons more very soon, but for now I'll leave it as this... A fresh start and an exciting new fad to fall in love with lol, filled with endless opportunities to express myself through words, findings and whatever else I may encounter whilst blogging=).
